MOOSE's Essentials

When we brought Moose home at twelve weeks, I searched and searched for tried and true "gear lists" for dogs with little success. I hope this compilation

Food.

Moose's main diet is a limited ingredient, grain-free dry kibble, which we supplement with raw treats and fresh fruits and vegetables. We chose Zignature's Kangaroo Formula for its moderate protein level and low fat content to complement Moose's lifestyle with us (generally one of leisure). Because Moose likes to inhale his meals, we use a slow feeder bowl to ensure he eats at a healthy pace.

Dental.

Although many dog toothpastes come with a brush kit, we use a human toothbrush with soft and dense bristles to give Moose an extensive cleaning without irritating his gums. Between brushings, we use an oral care gel for convenience. We prefer non-foaming toothpastes for Moose.
